1. Introduction & Objective
The ZWB Omnium is a new race format that brings together all facets of Zwift e-racing into one compact event of approximately 90 minutes. The format is designed to determine the most complete e-racer per category, emphasizing fairness, fun, and race dynamics.
Governance & Scope
- These regulations apply to the ZWB Omnium organized by ZWB Cycling.
- The organization reserves the right to amend regulations if necessary for fairness or feasibility.
- In cases not covered by these regulations, Race Control or the Jury decides.
2. Race Format & Events
The ZWB Omnium consists of four separate events with strict breaks in between to recover and switch worlds.
1. The Prologue (Event 1)
What: Individual Time Trial (ITT) on Three Musketeers.
Duration: 7 KM.
Rules: No drafting. Mass Start. Fixed TT bikes only.
Goal: Set the fastest time over the course.
2. The Spicy Scratch (Event 2)
What: Climbing Scratch Race on Cobbled Climbs.
Duration: 1 Lap.
Rules: Mass Start per category. Drafting enabled.
Goal: Be the first to cross the finish line.
3. Sprint Quali (Event 3)
What: Fastest Segment (FTS) challenge on Lutece Express.
Duration: 1 Lap.
Rules: Mass Start. Drafting and lead-outs are allowed. Multiple chances to set your best time on the designated segment.
Goal: Set the quickest time over the designated sprint segment.
4. Crit Royale (Event 4)
What: Points Race Finale on Croissant.
Duration: 5 Laps.
Rules: Mass Start per category. Drafting and Power-ups enabled. Points at intermediate sprints and the finish.
Goal: Accumulate the most points throughout the race.
3. Categories
- Participants are categorized based on their vELO rating / ZRS Score.
- There are a maximum of 10 categories based on official vELO ranges.
- Categories may be merged for the start list if attendance is low, without affecting final rankings.

4. Points & Rankings
The Prologue (Event 1) & The Spicy Scratch (Event 2):
Points are awarded based on your finishing position:
40, 38, 36, 34, 32, 30, 28, 26, 24, 22... decreasing to 1 point.
Sprint Quali (Event 3):
Points are awarded for your ranking on the Fastest Time on Segment (FTS):
20, 18, 16, 14, 12, 10, 8, 6, 4, 2...
Crit Royale (Event 4):
Points are earned directly during the race and added to your total score. Note: No points are awarded if you didn't join any of the other races.
- Intermediate Sprints (FAL): 10 – 9 – 8 – 7 – 6 – 5 – 4 – 3 – 2 – 1 points.
- Finish Line (FAL): 20 – 19 – 18 – 17... decreasing to 1 point.
Final Ranking = The sum of all points collected across all four events. The rider with the most points wins the Omnium.
5. Requirements & Technical
- Account: Use your own Zwift account. Weight and height must be accurate.
- Age: Minimum age is 16 years.
- Equipment: Reliable smart trainer/bike or power meter required. Equipment must be calibrated.
- Verification: Race Control may request dual recording or outdoor data in case of doubt.
- Bike Choice: Determined by Race Control per event (Fixed).
- Power-ups: ONLY available in the Crit Royale.
6. Conduct, Fair Play & Safety
Conduct: Sportsmanlike and respectful behavior is expected in-game and on Discord.
Jury & Protests: Jury decisions are binding. Protests can be submitted within one hour after an event.
By participating in the ZWB Omnium, every rider declares to have read and agreed to these regulations.
